Henry
- Lyrics / Synths / Sax After
a brief but delicious flirtation with playing live with the band in
early 2007 Henry Crud decided to fade back into the shadows,
slipping back into his former role, throwing out the occasional set
of Day Shift song words and sounds from the deep.
Henry met Bob some time in the late 1800s as part of The Hat
Shakers, a band specialising in thwacking wooden stringed things
and abusing blowey apparatus. That band split, Bob went
electronic, Henry went crash, bang wallop in a percussion group,
then provided musical accompaniment to lurex bedecked jugglers and
clowns in Circus Berks before casting aside serious music
completely in 12 piece cabaret collective The Paisley Wheelchair
Experience and other theatrical projects with
magician/comedian/mystic Freddy Valentine.
Crud still writes musical oddities for Valentine featuring
saxophones, theremins and ukulele but he has turned back to more
serious stuff of late, you know, PROPER music, tunes, harmonies,
chords, that kind of thing.
